Deanna (Mc Mullen) Wolf a dear friend of mine lost her life to CF at age 30 this year.  She was beautiful inside and out. One thing that made her so special was she never let her disease change her. Her and her husband (Noah) had a motto: Never Give Up! They lived each day by it! Another friend of mine (Michelle Connor) shared this video with me and it was titled “Never Give Up” so I had to share it with you. Deanna would have loved this video.  Take the 6 minutes to watch it and any time you feel down, visit right back here! If this isn’t motivation or accountability, I don’t know what is.

Thank you for your business and friendships and enjoy this video! Make it a great day!

Jessica Leigh Photography Thanks ‘The Someday Coach” Carrie Kukuda

Jessica Leigh Jessica gives Thanks!

Titled: Fitness trainer helped Tampa photographer Jessica Leigh get fit and healthy in boot camp.

When it comes to exercise, I quit everything. I’ll try a kickboxing class, buy a Tae Bo DVD or join a gym and within a few months, I have wasted my time and money.

That all changed when I met Carrie Kukuda in 2009. We met as members of a networking group called BLAB, Business Ladies Advancing Business. She pitched herself as a life coach, a nutrition expert and a fitness trainer. Kukuda backed up all of her credentials with results.

I have been in her boot camp for approximately five months, attending a session at least twice a week. For exercise enthusiasts, that may not sound like dedication. But I can now admit I am completely addicted to Carrie’s boot camp and have no intention of quitting.

I schedule clients and personal appointments around boot camp. If I have to miss one, I work hard to fit in a “make up camp” as soon as possible. When I go on vacation, I do similar work outs so I don’t get off track when I return. I make better food choices and look forward to the “high” I get after I’m done with a session.

Since I lift heavy gear and end up in strange positions for my job as a photographer, I always have back pain and muscle soreness after shoots. Being active in boot camp has helped me gain muscle strength and stamina while I’m on my feet for hours.

Kukuda’s classes are different because I never know what to expect each day I come to camp. And I not only have accountability with Carrie but also with the other people I’ve bonded with in camp. If someone misses a day, we all ask where they are and what their excuse is for missing.

I asked Carrie to explain why she does what she does. She said, “I do what I do because I am passionate about helping people. I have a gift I can offer them to help them change their lives. It is not a job to me, it is who I am. It is what gets me up in the morning at 4am and it’s what makes me happy when I go to bed at night. People should live their best life and I am happy to share the tools for them to make it happen.”

Thanks Jessica! You are an amazing person!

Happy Saturday!

I have had a great week (well end of the week – computer issues in the beginning)!

clipart email clipart Be FEARLESS!

Yesterday I got an email from an old camper, who didn’t live close enough to my camp to make it work in her schedule, so she had to quit. She sent an email stating she had attended 3 other boot camps closer to home and mine by far the best. She took the time to send me an email; how great is that!

Then I was chatting with awesome campers after camp this morning and another compliment came my way when she was asked who has inspired her in her life at this training meeting and she said me! WOW! Very surprised and touched.

I feel I was put on this earth to make a difference no matter how big or small. Well, looks like it’s working out.

Thought – follow your dreams, make them happen, and BE FEARLESS!

Thank you for being my friend and family!

We all procrastinate some way or another. We put off the task which seems challenging, time consuming, or just something we just don’t want to do.

So, we let it weigh on us day in and day out. Only to wait until the very last minute to do.

Blog images stressed out cat Decide to stop procrastinating!

We may say we work better under pressure, but do we? It seems like a lot of stress for nothing.

It take s a lot more energy to think about the task then to actually do it. What are really waiting for, it still needs to be done?

Decide to just do it! This week challenge yourself to just do it, every time you find yourself putting something off. You may even find it wasn’t so bad. There is enough stress in life, choose to create less! I challenge you to listen and just do it! Do it today not tomorrow. Good luck!

Hitting the Wall

Hitting the Wall

I ran a 10 mile race in March 2009 and actually finished. I hit a wall between 7-9, but my friend, Beth (Thanks Beth) was right there with me, so I had to do it. Plus, I knew if I walked I’d have to live with that for a while with myself. I reached in deep to my heart and just kept running. I truly did not want to. I just kept saying to myself, I can do it and after I would have been so disappointed if I walked. I created more pain to the walking then to the actual pain I was feeling (I was exhausted). I was not training for it, so I just wanted to finish and not quit running (other than to get water). I did it! Now, I can use this experience in other accomplishments in my life and/or challenges. Like today, I decided to do my 24 hour fast. Now, this is a challenge, but I keep reminding myself of the feeling I had between my 7-9 mile and it keeps me drinking lots of water and eating no food. Maybe this can inspire others in some way. This journey is a great experience to see how “mind over matter” really works. Create pain to what you don’t want (lots of pain) and TONS of pleasure to what you do want. Learn from my story. I really wanted to stop, every body part wanted me to stop, but my heart & mind WON! Yours can too! The mind is a POWERFUL thing, use it to your advantage! PS I got to eat 2 brownies as a treat for that run. I definitely ran that off.

Fitness Boot Camps can be fun. Yes, I said fun. It is not always easy, but with each other you do it and you feel AWESOME about yourself after. I have a love-hate relationship with my campers; they hate me during the workout and love me after. I am ok with that. But, you can ask anyone of them if they really like it and they will say “it’s sick but I look forward to it.” They like it for the accountability, the family everyone becomes, and the done-for-you formula, and of course the results (did I mention our team & me). If you haven’t tried our boot camps check out my website: http://www.tampafitbodybootcamp.com locations available in Brandon, Odessa, Wesley Chapel, South Tampa, and Land O’Lakes. If you can’t check out one of mine, I can refer you to others; just ask. Oh, and no one is left behind; meaning any level, age, shape or form. Myself and team have the experience to keep everyone moving and everyone getting what they need from it, so rather you are over weight or an athlete, come check it out. We have 1 week FREE trail going on now. Even if boot camp isn’t for you, commitment to at least 15 minutes a day of physical activity, so you can enjoy life longer with your family & friends and reduce your health risks. It is no fun being sick! Get out & play.
